Gold price and Gold API terms
Last updated: 26 October 2026
1. Who we are
These services are provided by QUANTORA NETWORK LTD, a private limited company incorporated in Uganda (Reg. No. 80034660609201), Kampala, Uganda ("we", "us"). Contact: support@unitedafricashilling.com.
2. What these terms cover
The gold price pages at unitedafricashilling.com/gold-price, the gold price widget, the open price data (prices.json), and the UAS Gold API at unitedafricashilling.com/api/gold, including partner commissions. The UAS Wallet has its own terms. By using any of these services you accept these terms and our privacy policy.
3. Prices are a reference
- Gold prices are the international spot price (the median of independent price feeds), converted at official mid-market exchange rates. Shop, dealer, bank and street prices differ, and in some countries the street exchange rate differs widely from the official rate.
- Prices are for information only. They are not an offer to buy or sell gold or any asset, not investment, legal or tax advice, and not a guarantee. They can be delayed, interrupted or wrong. Do not rely on them alone for any decision.
4. Widget and open data
You may embed the widget and use the open price data free of charge, as long as you keep the "Gold price by United Africa Shilling" credit visible, do not change the figures, and do not suggest that we endorse you. We may change, limit or stop the widget or the data at any time.
5. UAS and redemption
- UAS is a digital token on the Solana blockchain. Its market price moves and can fall. Where we show what UAS is worth in gold, it is calculated at today's redemption rate and changes with the UAS price.
- Redemption for physical gold follows the rules in force on the day you redeem: minimum amount, rate, identity checks and delivery time, as published on the exchange's redemption page. The gold reserve and redemption figures are published in our signed reserve statement.
6. The Gold API
- Non-custodial. The API returns unsigned transactions. The user's own wallet shows, signs and sends them. We never hold user funds or keys and cannot reverse a transaction.
- Quotes. A quote is valid for about 120 seconds. Each transaction sets a minimum amount of UAS the user must receive, or it fails and nothing is taken. Network fees apply. Prices come from public on-chain markets, not from us.
- Availability. We may refuse, limit or stop any request, apply rate limits, and change the API. Large orders can be refused when the market cannot fill them at a fair price.
7. Partners and commissions
- A partner is any app, website, bot or person who sends users through the Gold API with a
partnerwallet. Partners are independent. Nothing makes a partner our agent, employee or representative. - Commission. Up to 1% (100 basis points) of each buy, chosen by the partner, shown to the buyer in the quote and in the wallet's preview, and paid by the buyer directly to the partner's wallet in the same transaction. No commission on sells. Commission totals and partner wallet addresses are shown on a public board; they are public on the blockchain anyway.
- Partners must: follow the laws where they and their users are, including any licence, registration, customer identification, consumer protection and tax rules that apply to them; show users the commission; describe values in gold as "at today's rate"; and keep users in control of their own wallets.
- Partners must not: call UAS a bank deposit, savings account or fixed amount of gold; promise profit, returns or a fixed value; hold users' funds or keys through this API on their behalf without being allowed to by law; target people under 18 or in places where this is prohibited; or misuse our name or brand.
- We may block a partner wallet at any time, without notice, if we believe these terms are being broken or users are at risk. Partners are responsible for, and will compensate us for, claims arising from their own products, statements or breaches of law.
8. Prohibited use
No illegal activity, fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion, attacks on the service, attempts to get around rate limits, or impersonating us or others.
9. Liability
The services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for losses caused by market prices, network failures, third-party services, delayed or wrong data, or for a user's or partner's own decisions. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, and the courts of Kampala have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you a right to use your local courts. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept it.
